WHO: Player who will be in Grades 4-8 in Fall 2023. Please sign up for your fall grade for 2023 Fall Grade 4-8 Teams.
Players must live in Wellesley or attend school in Wellesley.
BAYS AGE GROUPS FOR FALL 2023-SPRING 2024: All the town based programs in MA will maintain a grade based age group so please sign up for your fall grade.
WHAT you need : Players will wear the same Nike Travel Uniform that was worn for 2022-2023. For new players, including all rising 4th graders the information on ordering uniform including your jersey # will be sent to you in late June. (Jersey #s will stay the same for anyone who played this year). Shin pads and cleats are required. Players should bring a ball to practice. Size 4 ball for grade 4-6, size 5 ball for grades 7-8.
WHERE: All grade 4-8 teams play in BAYS (Boston Area Youth Soccer) travel league, comprised of 55 towns around greater Boston. There will be 5 away games and 5 home games during the season. Home games are played at Sprague, Elm Bank, Schofield, Perrin and Bates fields. See Field link above for directions and field maps.
WHEN: Games are Saturdays for 10 weeks, Sept. 9 - Nov. 11. Girls usually play Saturday morning at 9:00, 10:30 or 12 noon. Boys usually play Saturday afternoons at noon, 1:30 or 3pm. (Schedule may vary each week).
COST: Fee is $215 with a late fee of $25 per player assessed after May 20th. Payment is online by credit card.
DEADLINE: Before Tryouts if you will be attending tryout and want to be considered for a stratified team. All others, register by May 20th to be guaranteed a spot on a team.
Refund Policy: Full Refund (less processing fee of $15) up to June 30, 50% refund June 30-July 30. Programs are open to players who live in Wellesley or attend school in Wellesley.
Late registrations are very time consuming and disruptive to teams and coaches. Please sign up on time in order to be assured a place on a team. Fall teams must be submitted to BAYS by the first week of July. Teams will be formed in late June based on prior tryouts and coach evaluations. You will be notified of team placement around June 30th. A player must be registered in order to be placed on a team.
Tryouts will be held in April - May for all players who want to be considered for stratified teams next fall. Please see Tryout Information page for all the details and schedule for Tryouts. Each age group fields some stratified teams and balanced teams. It is not necessary to tryout to be placed on a balanced team and those teams also play in the BAYS Travel League. Please check the tryout policy for more info about tryouts and team placement. Teams are generally kept the same from fall to spring whenever possible. The team formation does depend on the # of players who return to play from fall to spring.

Grade 4-8 Fall Teams: May 20th but players MUST be registered for Fall before attending Tryouts and Tryout registration is required as well. Players who register by the deadline will be placed on teams. Space can not guaranteed if you sign up after these dates and a $25 late fee per child will be assessed after these deadlines. Register all of your players at one time or come back to add another player later.

Registration Fee payment is by credit card only, Late fee after deadline is $25. If you have financial need, scholarships are available. Please email with reason for scholarship request and select Fee Waiver Request.
Please note The Wellesley United Soccer Club has a policy against accepting requests for specific placement or grouping of players or for specific coaches. While we clearly understand that parents have the best intentions in mind, with hundreds of players per grade the many specific requests that would inevitably be made would make it very difficult , if not impossible, to put teams together.

Coaches are needed at all levels - sign up to coach when you register your child or log back into your family account to 'volunteer' next to their registration. You can also contact the age group coordinator.
Earrings Safety Alert!
For safety reasons, EARRINGS and other jewelry cannot be worn during games. The referee will ask you to remove them before playing . If you are planning to get ears pierced, do it early in the summer so they can be removed at first game in Sept. or early in winter so they can be removed at first game in early April. Referees will not allow taping of earrings - they must be removed in order to play.
